Rescue HQ is a game I have been expecting for a while. The gameplay is really well balanced between challenge and fun. I have not encountered any game braking bugs yet, but I have seen a few minor glitches. Fortunately these don't prevent objects from working and can mostly be ignored. The only drawback I have seen so far is the lack of a true sandbox with infinite $$$ and all items unlocked, but the easiest scenario available is fun enough, and does a great job to teach you how to play the game. Overall Rating 9\/10. Very fun and enjoyable game.. You should buy this game, it's worth your time. It's just not worth your money at this price point. Wait for a sale that offers about 30-50% off the full price.I really want to up vote this game, but unfortunately I can't. It's fun, it's just not great if you compare it against other tycoon games selling at the same price point.The problem is that there are so many other tycoon games on the market, and Rescue HQ feels a bit more like early access as opposed to a fully released game. There are bugs, and the graphics and animations are really basic.I think all of this could have been excused if the developers decided to sell this at a lower price. As it stands, this is in the same price bracket as Two Point Hospital. That has better graphics, better animations, better sound, more depth, and is better optimised in terms of performance.I can list loads of tycoon games that are comparable in quality to this one, but none of them costs as much.. Fun for a couple of hours, after that it becomes very repetitive and bland. Most of the distress calls are on loop for very long duration and you find yourself repeating the same tasks over and over and over again. A lot of bugs and in general quite shallow for a game with tycoon taped to its name.There is very little flexibility in building once you figure out this game. The space is so limited that everything needs to be crammed into as small of a space as possible and that really is all this game is about.Game could be something much more but it is currently more of a Mobile game than a PC tycoon title.Pick it up once it is around 10 euros \/ dollars, There really is no more value here currently in my opinion.. I would recommend this game, but I'm a sucker for management games. So I have to admit a small bit of bias. >.> I like that its really easy to move things around the base so moving a room doesn't have to be expensive. I find it challenging, in a good way. There isn't a true sandbox mode yet. Dev's have stated they are working on it. A sandbox mode with cheats on the workshop already. The dev's themselves are very mod friendly which is nice. The main gripe I have is its really hard to tell if you have enough money for the weekly budget check. Dev's said they're working on a way to make it more friendly.. First the good. Very entertaining. Has a very good variety of emergencies. Good selection of vehicles and equipment. Intuitive dispatch system. Decent story lines. Now the bad. Game is extremely unoptimized.I have a EVGA liquid cooled 1080ti and water cooled I7 6 core CPU. Even at 1080p, i struggle to get 20fps!!! The game asks me if i want to lower the settings! The GPU and CPU are not even at 50% utilization! The game size weighs in at slightly over 250mb. Graphics are that of Parkitect, well, kinda close. Could use some better modeling on the assets. The office, kitchen, lounge, and bedroom need more items to add to the simulation. Very bare bones there. One other suggestion for the future. You have helicopters. Thats great. How about some fire boats... rescue and fire fighting ones!Conclusion. Its a fun game with alot of potential. Fix the fps issues, the models and textures, and add use to the mentioned rooms. I look forward to see what this developer can achieve with this game. Solid start.
